*What: 'Meeting of the Minds' is a two-day invitation-only leadership conference convened by the University of California, Berkeley College of Environmental Design, with the support of Toyota.

*Who: 'Meeting of the Minds' provides a platform for debate and discussion to leaders from private sector, public sector, NGOs and academia -- all of them working to create more sustainable cities and design a new approach to urban vehicles. Other partners include: LandDesign, 'Metropolis Magazine', and American Planning Association. Urban Age Institute is managing the program.

*Why: 'Meeting of the Minds' will focus on the new technologies, emerging urban designs, cleaner fuels -- all of which are remaking automobiles and reshaping cities.

*When: On September 12 and 13, 2007, with opening event on the evening of September 11.

*Where: In Oakland, California.... at the Marriott City Center and Oakland Convention Center
